Obviously, if you want to time the stock, you pick it on a day when the stock price is down, but if you're a core-holding type of a buyer, Oracle should be right at the top of your list, without eyeing the price so much, if business-to-business e-commerce is your priority.

en Two that need to be looked at are J.P. Morgan and Merrill Lynch. J.P. Morgan because they have been heavily involved internationally over the last couple of years, and Merrill Lynch is the leading retail financial brokerage stock in the country. How they did coming out of the fourth quarter is very important.

en It's just a great stock to own here, ... The company is growing in excess of 20 percent. The demographics are great for education. The company is selling at about 15 times what we think they can earn next year. It's also one of the few independent publishers left and so we think it's a strategic acquisition candidate, probably worth over $60 a share, and the stock's at about $45.

en Applications are the only place where you can get the type of growth to justify a premium multiple for Oracle's stock. Going forward, Oracle will get 10 percent growth out of the database side at best,

en It's still an expensive stock. The mid-20s would be a good entry point for buying Oracle stock.

en I can check the Oracle stock price with this, ... and then maybe decide to pick up some more stock with it.

en We believe that IBM is a second-half story and now we're there. We believe earnings growth should take the stock higher and we'd be even more optimistic if we had confidence in execution. We think the key to long-term appreciation is figuring out if IBM is a new technology or old technology stock. It's some of both now.

en The company, which has been a leader in the industry, failed to make a selling climax Wednesday, ... The stock went down sharply and almost closed up on the day. If a stock was to make a new low and then close higher on the day, in my opinion that would be a selling climax and be positive.
