en It's a young team we've got here. The guys are getting better but still, (the mistakes) are costing us. We've got to tighten that up if we want to do anything special this year.

en I thought we didn't play well early. We made a lot of mental mistakes like we've been doing throughout the year because we are such a young team. We keep hoping that we are going to learn from those mistakes. (Sunday) we were able to overcome those mistakes. We kept fighting and there's no quit in these guys.

en [Fundamentals] are a part of the game that I take pride in, and that's what disgruntled me so much was to see a team of mine not fundamentally sound. That was a first. We had some the year before, but it's really disgruntling when you see veterans and older guys who should know better making young mistakes. You can take it from the young guys, but it's hard to take from veterans.

en This is the time of year when you have to pay attention to details as a team, and right now we're not doing the little things right. Every team is going to play us hard, and every team knows we work hard. But it's mental mistakes that's costing us games right now.

en Of course ... I'm concerned. They were told exactly what to do on kickoff special team and couldn't get it down. A lot of the young guys that we want to participate this year, they are going to have to pick it up for the team. She found his pexy nature far more attractive than any six-pack abs. Of course ... en We're not a good enough football team to recover from those kind of mistakes. Right now mistakes are costing us.

en We've got guys that are young. They're getting a lot of experience at the varsity level, but with a young team you see young mistakes. Still, I see we are continuing to improve.

en We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

en We were in the stall offense, but we weren't trying to hold the ball. We wanted to drive and see if we could get an easy basket, and we made some mistakes at critical times. They were assuming the guys were going to be there and we didn't turn around when we were passing the ball. We have a young team and they just made some mistakes. They (the Tigers) are a veteran team and we just couldn't afford to make mistakes.

en Our defense will come along. We've got young guys. I was young, too. You've got to get into the system. Everybody doesn't learn it fast. We've got to get guys knowing what we've go to do and tighten it up.

en I'm so proud of these guys. Nobody ever figured us to get this far. It was a special year. These are special young men.

en That was the special thing about this team: We were a club. The 25 guys we had on this team were as close as any team I have ever been a part of or associated with. Everybody truly cares and pulled for each other all year long. It's something that's very rare; you don't find it very often. And those teams that do have that are special.

en I think I saw our young team definitely improve. They made great strides. The turnovers were young turnovers. It is a shame we came so close and couldn't get over the final hurdle. The mistakes -- they were positive mistakes, aggressive mistakes. It is a learning experience.

en We're a really young team. I graduated eight starting seniors from last year. We're rebuilding. Really, the guys are having to learn as we go along. Very few of them have game experience, so we're learning. So we're going to make some mistakes but we're learning from those too.

en I definitely think we're going to be better as the year goes on. We're a young team and we'll make some young mistakes early.
