en I was very pleased with the overall performance after making a tough start to the season. Everything is close and I don't think things will take shape for another month or so.

en But if guys aren't even close, you've got to start looking at maybe making changes. You definitely like to give them at least a month into the season and see where we're at.

en Things just came to me. It has been a tough month and hopefully this is the start of a better part of the season.

en I really thought we wrestled the best we have this season as a team. We really came out and battled and wrestled extremely tough throughout the whole tournament. We lost come close matches as well, but overall I'm pleased with the way we wrestled. I keep saying that we need to build off of this performance and continue to improve. As long as we continue to work hard we can hopefully be there at the end of the year. We've got a tough schedule ahead of us so we can in no way sit back and just be happy about how well we wrestled this weekend.

en I don't think we need to start panicking this first week here. I think it's just a matter of, April is a tough month. You do what you can to win and right now we've got some guys who are a little tired from Spring Training still trying to get in shape.

en I was very pleased with the efforts. It was an outstanding start. We've got to get in shape and get Jeff healed up. There's a long season ahead of us.

en It's really a progression. You know what time of the month it is; you know when the season starts. It's a matter of knowing you can do all those things you need to do and waiting for the season to start.

en I was really pleased with both of the doubles wins. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. We won most of the close matches, something that could help a player come through in a tough match later in the season.

en Now I think there's more of a philosophy where you look at it as a season. We've got a month before we play any games. Let's use that whole month and not try and kill the guys but get them in shape.

en I would say overall we're pleased. We got off to a real rocky start (this season) and we're trying to tie things together, get better every time. And I think they wrestled pretty good (Thursday). I was pretty pleased, but we've got a long way to go.

en It's a tough loss. People start making a run at us and we feel like it's the end of the world. We just lack discipline when things get tough.

en We lost some tough matches in the first round. We lost a lot of close matches but we won some close matches, too. I am pleased with everyone's performance today.

en It would be great to think that this is the start of an 8-2 season, so we've got to get ready to win our next eight games. The things that didn't get done tonight are some of the same mistakes we've been making all season. We had an inability to tackle, dropped passes early and our protection of our quarterback broke down. A lot of those things have to do with our intensity, and that's my job…to motivate these guys.

en We're very close. Well before the season's over, we should be done. I'm very pleased with that -- a wonderful end to a tough story. This was a situation fraught with a lot of potential problems. It's going to come to an end; we're going to come out of the ownership business. The commissioner will be delighted.

en We have a young team, and our guys faced some adversity early in the meet but turned things around and did what they had to do. Our depth took over, and we won some close races. I was really pleased with the performance coming out of winter break.
