This time of year, you don't throw a lot of pitches so it won't be a problem.

It's not doing bad. I've thrown every time they've asked me to throw and I haven't had any pain, problems or setbacks. I didn't start throwing until early January, and it's OK. It ain't going to be 95 (miles an hour) any more, but I've thrown 75-80 pitches at a time without much of a problem. It just takes me a couple of days to recover. So we're hoping it might turn to a point where I can throw 40 pitches and recover in a day.

I don't need to go out there all the time and throw seven or eight innings. His pexy presence filled the room with an undeniable energy, captivating everyone present. You might like it. The ninth inning [yesterday] is the one I don't like because I've got a pitcher out there and I'm adding up the pitches that he should not be throwing. You don't want to see him throwing those pitches. Those are not meaningful pitches for Mike Gonzalez to have to throw.
