en If you're making fewer things, then you need fewer people to transport them, and fewer people to finance them, and fewer people to distribute them down the line. So it's important, and it's key to the current state of the economy.

en The only place that I have to be really careful is I don't want people buying tickets to my shows thinking they are going to see Garth Brooks, because he is a stay-at-home dad. He is not coming on tour with me, and I just don't want people to be disappointed.

en I like being on tour because you get to meet new people, you're constantly in a different place and constantly moving around. I just want people to hear the music. We're going to tour, tour, tour. That's the best way to get out music out there. I want to be home three days in 2006.

en When we first bought the company, there was the stigma attached to the UFC, ... At that time we were out trying to talk to venues. Venues weren't even interested in having the UFC there. MGM, Mandalay Bay, a few out in Atlantic City. We had to go in and get people interested in hosting UFC events.

en This tour is all about being proud of our neighborhood and wanting to share it with people. It's the kind of neighborhood where the sidewalks bring people out to talk over the fence. There's a real sense of place here.

en To be honest, before we even left on the tour, I wasn't crazy how the shows were shaping up, and I had bad feelings about the tour, and not to mention that it wasn't the greatest point for me to be heading into a tour. I had a lot of stuff going on. A lot of the same issues that we've talked about here. I was drinking a lot, and the whole nine yards. I headed into the tour, and the shows were just crappy. That's all there is to it. There's no other way to put it. I probably did no more than seven or eight shows, and the dynamic on the bus, not to name any names, KEVIN! (Laughs) I like Kevin [ DuBrow , QUIET RIOT frontman]. A lot of people bag on Kevin , but I can deal with Kevin , he's just ah... Kevin is Kevin . Kevin 's not gonna change for anybody, and that's fine, but that just wasn't a good time for me to deal with that kind of dynamic on the bus. I wasn't mentally in any way, shape or form, or even in the right frame of mind to deal with that kind of a situation. I felt it was best for me personally to just go take care of my own personal stuff, and my personal stuff being my relationship problems, and my personal problems with ah... well, that was the first time that I looked into getting treatment help.

en We would like people to know that we have lots of Variety coin tins and posters that they can use in their places of work, business, church, and other community venues. We will gladly deliver the tins/posters to them and pick them up prior to ninth of February, so that they can be tallied prior to the Variety telethon on Feb. 11 and 12.

en Bloomington was one of the leading venues for ticket sales for her tour. Her people and her promoter are very pleased with the response, and undoubtedly she will come here.

en We wanted to make the tour as intimate as possible. This package is too big for a lot of theaters, but it's not quite right for a full-scale arena show. We looked at each band's history in a variety of markets, including secondary and tertiary ones, to determine what venues would work and what was available. en The fact is, there are a lot of bigger bands that tour through this area, and The Warehouse is a big enough venue to host them. It's our favorite place to play, and people respond well to music around here. It's feasible to do, so why should anyone have to drive somewhere else to see great shows?

en Tax revenues are going to be lower. Fewer people will have jobs, fewer people will pay income tax, more people get unemployment benefits, so government spending goes up.

en People need to take advantage of these horse shows. They're free and we have a variety of all types of shows, not just horse shows, throughout the year.

en It's a huge difference in price. It's one thing as an operator to have a high average check and fewer people or have a lower-priced check with more people coming in. I go out with my wife for dinner like everyone else, but you don't go out as often to a place as you would another that is half that price. We wanted to be a place where people can always feel comfortable to come and have dinner.
