en My role is to give them confidence when they get on the mound. I want them to throw strikes and get ahead of the hitters. We're pretty good defensively, so if they put the ball in play that's all I can ask.

Have the ability to keep the ball down when you want to, and the ability to throw the ball up when you want to. When you throw the ball outside, you don't want it to creep back inside.
