After [Tuesday's] practice, I was going to activate Marcus, at least I was thinking strongly on doing it. Then, after [yesterday] we thought we'd wait another day of practice.

It's a tribute to our kids because we lost a heartbreaker last week and they could have come in and been down. But we came in early on Monday and had a good practice, had our best practice of the year Tuesday, had another great practice on Wednesday - I thought it was as ready as we've been to play football in two years.

Yesterday was a great practice with guys who came back like Johnny (Salmons) who was very good yesterday, and Kyle (Korver) and Andre (Iguodala). They uplifted the practice with the guys who are here trying to make a team. Everybody played pretty well. It was a great practice yesterday,

I'm going to practice Tuesday and see how hard I can go, and the true test is always the next day after that. We'll just wait until Tuesday and then we'll just see what happens.

Shaquille O'Neal (1972-)

We had a great practice yesterday. Very intense two hours yesterday, a lot of situational softball. It ended with batting practice and you can just tell that they're figuring some things out.

We definitely had their attention in practice (yesterday). The last part of the year we've been ending practice at 4:30 p.m. and I left (yesterday) at quarter to six.

Marcus Johnson, who works very hard in our practice sessions, looks better in games than he does in practice. I like that.

I thought yesterday's (Monday's) afternoon practice wasn't up to par. Today's practice was very lively. We need that. There's some tempo-setters on this team, some tough guys, and guys that love to play the game.

I thought our kids bounced back well. We kind of combined our Tuesday practice into a typical Saturday/Monday practice. We just had to adjust our schedule slightly. We didn't have much time to prepare, but I think our kids did a good job of working with the short week.

You could see the difference in him yesterday in practice. He was focused. I thought it was the best, most focused practice he's had in a month.

It tightened up a little bit toward the end of practice yesterday and I pulled him out of that second practice. He's just getting back in the swing of things. It's not near as bad as it was when he left but I just don't want to take any chances. It would be nonproductive.

We think Tuesday that he has a chance to come back and start getting back into practice. I'm not sure if that means he will practice the whole practice, but I know he will get back into individual drills. He's on schedule, if not ahead of schedule.

Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. We're just having fun. We're rocking and rolling in practice. Yesterday was probably the best practice we've had. We're just flying. I'm not doing anything.
