Our medical staff decided that I'm not able to play. It's over. Also, I don't want to get hurt for the rest of the National Hockey League [season].

I'd like to thank the commissioner of the National Football League for stepping up to the tremendous problem we have, not only the Saints, but the NFL, of getting this behind us so now we know what our schedule (is), where we are going to play the rest of the season.

Chris's name was the first name mentioned by everyone. That just speaks volumes for how he's respected in the game of hockey, and for what he's done not only in the National Hockey League, but for what he's done for USA Hockey over the years.

We play within the rules. Yes, we cut, but we emphasize and teach fair play. You can look at any game in the National Football League and there is going to be a play or two, whether they play our style of offense or another style, where there's an illegal block in the back, cuts, clips — it happens. We never, ever ask our guys to do anything illegal or to hurt anybody. We're not out to hurt anybody.

He has everyone in the National Hockey League surprised. We didn't expect him to be this physical or this dominating so early in the season,

I don't know if I can come up with enough intelligent words to describe Drew MacIntyre. The confidence he has instilled in the rest of the team is unbelievable. If there is a goalie outside the National Hockey League that is playing as well as him, I'd pay good money to see him.

I am having discussions regarding the mandatory use of visors in our league with the stakeholders in our league, which includes the team owners, league personnel, the players' association and the National Hockey League. Unfortunately, it takes an incident like that to refocus attention on the issue.

Last week Keith complained of soreness is his knee. He had an MRI on Monday, which revealed some very slight cartilage damage. Keith, his mother and the medical staff then got together and decided to repair it now instead of having it be a nuisance throughout the season.

We weren't scoring a lot of goals [earlier in the season] and Dickie was playing a lot and plus-minus kind of goes hand in hand. The only way that you'd ever be able to really get an honest assessment is to have the National Hockey League hire someone on a nightly basis just like they do in Major League Baseball and give players errors instead of plus-minus.

The National Football League is a humbling league. You can't rest on your merits from a week ago. We're not good enough to go out and play average football. We have to play extremely well in all three phases of the game. We're not good enough, defensively or offensively, to just show up.

In my opinion I think Jim Roque is the coach of the year in this league. He and his staff have done a phenomenal job. They are so tough to play against. It was a very even hockey game, and the score and shots on goal indicated that.

It's frustrating. Any time you lose, you're looking for answers and you want to be better and you're not happy but it's the National Hockey League and when you're not playing up to your ability, you're not going to win a lot of hockey games and tonight was one of those nights.

That's not for at-bats. He's not going to play. That's just strictly medical. Let him get some one-on-one work with the medical staff. I would doubt very seriously if we would see him play in this camp.

I don't see that the strike zone as different. I don't see that there's any stigma of American or National League as a player. The only real difference I see is that, in the American League, seven guys in the lineup will swing for homers. In the National, it's only about four. The rest of them will hit the other way or do whatever.
