en To beat Penn you have to be error-free, execute on special teams and control the ball on offense. If we do that we'll have a chance to win. I saw the scrimmage tape against Andrean, where (Andrean) didn't run the ball past the line of scrimmage. I wanted to turn the tape off.

en The turnovers, the red zone, the penalty situations, the special teams and the composure are the things that are the keys. What kind of controls those keys is the line of scrimmage. (Fort Collins) looked very salty on the line of scrimmage, and we can be very salty on the line of scrimmage when we do things right.

en Our front-four [offensive line] players did a good job. We had some nice drives. We controlled the ball. We did an outstanding job on defense. We controlled the line of scrimmage.

en We easily missed about five sacks. I know I missed one myself. There's no good medicine. You've just got to keep practicing. You get off the line of scrimmage, you get in there, make the tackle.

en There's no excuse for us to be at the 15-, 18-yard line and not come up with at least three points. Three points wins that ball game. We got zero. That's a killer.

en We lay our hat that we can run the ball. In the first half, we won the line of scrimmage. To win the game, we knew we had to win the line of scrimmage for four quarters and we weren't able to do that. We won it for a while.

en The offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage much better in this game. When you run the ball for five yards per carry, that's a good job. And we had pretty decent protection for the quarterbacks.

en That's what I'm more disappointed in than anything. Forcing the ball in there on the 4-yard line, you can't do that. You've got to get some kind of points out of that. Even if you kick a field goal ? we only lost by three.
