Those things are good for the league. You want your players to play. The D-League is good for them. (With the age limit) you'll see players coming into the league more finished.

If there is an NHL with replacement players, I think for me to be involved and to say that I would play in the league is not true. If the NHL is the real NHL with the best players in the world, for sure I want to play in it, but if it's a league of replacement players, it's not the real NHL. Obviously as a freshman, without question he was not only one of the best freshmen in the league, but was one of the better players in the league. He's got great size. He can shoot over top of people. He makes every difficult shots.

The benefits to both clubs are obvious. The quality of the A-League being what it is, this is a superb opportunity for players from Auckland to play at that level. This is a chance for our players to go into probably the most professionally-run club in the league.

Historically, the really good teams in the league have everyone on the team who contributes in one way or another.
