We gave up some ordtak

We gave up some easy threes in the first half. Like everyone else, we get hurt when we allow penetration inside and the other team is able to kick the ball out. We have to work harder on controlling penetration.

We changed our offense a little. It's a motion offense. It's penetration and pitch that we implemented to try and get fouled a little bit. We try to get the ball down inside to Rucker and run through him some stuff so he can kick it back out. He can score inside and they have to double-team him.

I think they packed their zone in a little tighter in the second half and we had a little bit harder time getting it to him. We were attacking their zone with penetration and hitting the gaps inside (in the first half) and we just didn't seem to attack it as well in the second half.

They put a lot of pressure on our zone, and when we went to stop their penetration, they would pass the ball well and knock down some threes. They are an excellent team, and I think they're going to be in the finals.

We've had a tendency to rush against a zone and that makes us have to get out and work that much harder on defense. When we're patient we can use our speed and our penetration to try and get some good looks on the inside.

First half, any time Wade got the ball, we had bodies on him, we took away his penetration, we took some charges. In the second half, for whatever reason, we just gave him the lane and stopped doing what we were supposed to do.

We stopped a lot of their easy baskets. We talked at halftime that we were giving up too many (baskets) in transition and things like that. We gave up a lot of steals in the first half and a lot of easy baskets. We tried to focus on cutting off their dribble penetration. That was really hurting us. We wanted to make them shoot over the top. I think it worked to an extent in the second half.

They shot the ball great in the first half — I've never seen a team shoot so many threes (41 on the night). I think they got tired and were still shooting threes from the outside, and we started getting the ball inside.

We did a really good job in the second half of cutting down their dribble penetration. They hurt us a lot with that in the first half. It?s always a battle when you come up here because they play hard. It was a good win for us. I was really proud of our team, especially in the second half.

They had a lot of good girls. I wanted to stop her penetration. She didn't shoot that much from the outside in the first half. In the second half she made one on me. The main key was to stop her penetration.

I think we did a much better job of controlling the game in the second half. We were able to make some things happen with dribble penetration and get some nice shots.

They beat us with the dribble penetration and got easy shots, and when they did miss, we did not do a good job on the defensive glass. I couldn't be happier with our performance. It starts with defense and ours was superb tonight. I thought we were hurt off their dribble penetration, but we made adjustments at halftime and were ready for it in the second half. And we were great around the basket. I think we got to nearly every loose ball.

Would we rather have been in a situation where we didn't have to call timeout by having the best block team that we could on the field? Absolutely, but that wasn't the case, ... I felt that it was an important enough situation in the game, because our guys do a pretty good job inside of getting penetration, to get the right guys in there to do the best job of trying to get the kick blocked.

We're not really a great 3-point shooting team, but we do better when we get dribble penetration and then kick it back out.
