en L.J. has done well. Being in the situation now where he is the starter, we?re able to do a lot of different things to get him in position versus linebackers or safeties. We feel good about that competition. He?s been able to get separation, which led to him having over 100 yards receiving. It?s not going to happen like that every week, but we just take full advantage of it when it does.

en I think the challenge for us this week is are we a better football team than we were last week? As many good things as we did in the N.C. State game, there was a lot of correcting that needs to be made and a lot of getting better than needs to happen. I believe ... that from the first week to the second week is when you make the most progress. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. And we have to take advantage of that situation here.

en It's good to be back on the ice, but there was still many things I don't feel I'm able to do, so there was no reason to go with full equipment (yesterday). I can feel there is some improvement. I feel stronger. There are certain things I couldn't do two or three weeks ago I can do now. But there are still a few things I cannot do on the ice. I have to wait a few more days, or a week or whenever I can do it.

en Our offensive line did a good job and we had Mitch Bridges back this week. I also thought our defensive front seven did the job. Our linebackers played a lot better this week than they did in the second half and were able to hold a good running back like (Darryl) Vereen down (to 49 yards).

en I've been a starter, and I feel I am a starter. I think we had a good situation here bringing in Fred (Smoot), and the first-round (restricted free agent) tender they put on me gave us a lot of guys. So, whatever happens, happens.

en Darrell really has tremendous quickness and he's faster than people give him credit for. He's a tough guy to jam at the line of scrimmage. He makes things happen. He makes a lot of things happen in the first five yards and gains an advantage there. And then he has caught the ball very, very well t his season.

en Sometimes things happen, and that's what happened. He'll be all right. This is what it's like. You think you're going to feel good every week. You think it's going to be smooth sailing. It's not going to be. That's the way it is. They are after you.
