en An audience really gets the once-in-a-lifetime chance to see one of today's most compelling blues artists doing what he loves to do best. It will be a pretty special show.

en I think it's popular for a number of reasons. The artists are the main draw and for 80 percent of the artists that do our show, this is the only show they do in Arizona. This is the one chance for people to see these artists.

en They're basically cinder block walls and a black concrete floor right now. We feel it's important to make the artists feel special and important, and that, we think, will help them put on a better show for the audience.

en The experience of seeing top blues artists at a very low price, cheaper than some cover charges to other local blues clubs is great. Many of these acts play in other cities for $20 per ticket.

en We are honored to be working with Herbie Hancock and the unprecedented array of talented artists he has assembled to create this truly special event album. Following the success of Ray Charles' Genius Loves Company, Possibilities reflects our ongoing commitment to working with innovative artists and labels to create unique projects which we believe our customers will embrace.

en I know, obviously, everybody loves a winner but there's a lot of positive energy right now in both programs. Our kids are tight with each other and it's really a special year. Obviously, we want to keep it going as long as we can. I think '06 has a chance to be one of those special years for the girls and the boys.

en This is a very ambitious show for the Anderson Gallery. And this is a special circumstance for Richmond, bringing in world-class artists for an unorthodox show. It's a challenge for them and a risk for us.

en [He also enjoys sharing the stage with] American Idol ... You know, she was thrown into a role that most musical theater actresses wait a lifetime to play because it's such a huge role. She handled it like a gem. I mean, she's got a set of pipes that you won't believe when you hear her. And she's got a real warmth and accessibility to the audience that allows the audience into the show. It's a very difficult thing to have. You either have that or you don't, and she's got it big-time.

en As a devoted musician and student of the blues, I wanted to document the important contribution each of these amazing artists has made to our musical heritage. I regret that many of the great blues icons are no longer with us, but have no doubt that their spirit will continue to inspire all of us for generations to come.

en I thought their red uniforms were pretty cool. And I'm a pretty big [NHL] Blues fan from growing up in St. Louis. I liked getting to see [former Blues player] Brind'Amour and Stillman on the field.

en It is our job as artists to let the audience know why these things are important. Beyond what we see represented - the plight of the migrant workers - it's an enduring story of these two guys and their special companionship.

en It was pretty special. It was a great way to show how to not set the tempo. That's probably the one thing this club could not afford to have today.

en Mississippi has long been home to writers, painters, sculptors, blues artists, quilters and others who have helped define the very essence of this land, ... Restoring our artists and arts organizations is vital to the rebuilding of this state.

en I wanna record these girls individually. And then, I wanna cut a blues album on me. But all of it, original stuff, you know. When I listen to the blues today, it's like they all sounds similar. I wanna do something different, to try to add to the blues flavor.
