We had an ugly ordtak

We had an ugly second half a year ago and had a lot of work ahead of us. What we laid out this year, the plan pretty well worked out and accomplished what we wanted to do.

We had a sort of five-year plan. Neil wanted to go off and do Hollywood, while I wanted to make little films in my barn, on my own, and not show them to anybody, and see how it went. And the idea was, I'd get a point of view, and he'd get some clout, and then we'd meet up in a few years and make a feature film. Which is pretty much how it worked.

If you add up the students who plan to attend a two-year school, go to work, go in the military, or to trade school, that's half. Only half plan to go to a four-year school.

Today's game obviously showed you have to play four quarters. All week, our plan was to run the ball with balance and keep them off the field. Our plan worked in the first half. It did not work as well as we would have liked in the second half. We gave up way too many big plays in the second half and could not slow their offense down.

For Eric, it began long before he got here - he started off over at E.V. Cain. Throughout high school he's set his goals pretty realistically. Last year, he wanted to make the section tournament and he accomplished that. This year, he set his goal to go to state and we feel he can do that as well. He's got a real good chance.

I had a five-year plan when I took over as head coach in 2001, ... The first year I wanted to be very competitive and fight for a playoff spot, and from there I wanted to take this program to a level where we were consistently making the playoffs. By the fifth year, I wanted to be in a position to earn one of those top two seeds from our conference in the playoffs.

Played him here last year and it was much tougher. So this was an excellent match for me, maybe the best of the season. I've had some good matches this year, too, but this was against a top-quality player. I thought everything I really wanted to work really worked. I had a great feeling out there.

All year long I've stressed to my kids that our speed was our biggest strength. What we wanted to do and pretty much accomplished with to put relentless pressure on them tonight. I had a bit of a problem in the final last year. Some of the other Finn guys weren't too happy with me and wanted to take me out! But this year it all seemed to go alright. I've trained hard this winter and everything seems to be going to plan, so I'm pretty happy!

Looking ahead to 2005, we are moderately optimistic and are looking for a stronger performance in the first half of the year followed by some weakness in the second half of the year. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. The first game was pretty ugly for both teams, but now it's two totally different teams. Often this year we've saved our best ball for the second half, and (Monday) we can't do that.
