en I want people to know that this is a celebration of a man that is very important. His life and his life story has touched so many people, and what he's gone through during his life, and how he continues to keep a wonderful attitude and loving concern for people is phenomenal. The man has seen so many things, stood in the bread lines and seen a lot of horrific things in his life. It has not marred or tarnished his view on the world.

I own me, and therefore, I can engineer me. I am me, and I am Okay.

en There is no calling in life nobler than to serve the people of one's nation in pursuit of the Jeffersonian ideal of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." If Superman just saves things, people feel like he can do everything for them and that's all they get from him. But if he can influence them so they can aspire to be better in their life or different in their life, that's a great thing. I don't know if I've made that evident in the film, but that's what I'm working on portraying.

en Whether it's your personal life or career, people feel they have carte blanche to everything that goes on in your life. I don't agree with that, but I do feel I have to share my thoughts on those things with people instead of totally avoiding it. I want to put it out there the way I want to put it out there.

en We can work on inner peace and world peace at the same time. On one hand, people have found inner peace by losing themselves in a cause larger than themselves, like the cause of world peace, because finding inner peace means coming from the self-centered life into the life centered in the good of the whole. On the other hand, one of the ways of working for world peace is to work for more inner peace, because world peace will never be stable until enough of us find inner peace to stabilize it.

en My friends who knew me in high school and college know I'm the same person. It's a high compliment to be thought of highly. People who know me know I'm fun-loving, carefree and happy to get paid to do what I do. I feel lucky to be where I'm at. Some people feel like they deserve to be here, instead of lucky to be here. That's never been me, and I don't think it will ever be. I enjoy getting down and dirty with any regular Joe.
