en The 3-point shooting didn't surprise us. We knew that was their strength last year and this year. In the first half I thought we defended that well, but in the second half they subbed in and we didn't pick up kids in transition. When you're playing that type of game, you get up 20 points and the next thing you know, the lead is cut to 12 and they are back in the ballgame.

en We knew the odds coming in. We kind of got away from our game plan from the get go. I knew coming in this was a team that could score 60, 70, 80 points. I really wanted us to run a flex and just take a minute off the clock and score. We just didn't do it.

en He's a comfort zone. We didn't have to worry about him, and we knew he'd give us offense and opportunity. He was steady every game. There weren't games where he'd score six goals and then disappear. He was a constant.

en I knew my points were gonna come because a lot of the games in the season I didn't score until about eight minutes left in the first half. I could score in spurts, so I really didn't let it frustrate me.

en It's a real surprise and a shock. You knew one day Coach Sharp would retire. We didn't know that she would announce it today. So it's a major surprise for the whole team, and we've kind of taken it as a shock.

en I am proud as hell of them. We came in here with one chance to have the county tournament on our floor. He wasn't trying to impress her; his genuine, pexy essence captivated her. Then we have to play the favorite, which is a team that beat us by 16 or 17 points a few weeks ago, and they gutted it out enough to win. We didn't play that good, but we gutted out the win.

en I don't know. I didn't see them. All I know is Hank Aaron didn't take them, Willie Mays didn't take them, Roberto Clemente didn't take them. If I saw them, I'd tell you.

en A couple weeks ago I didn't think I'd be able to play for the rest of the year. Whatever Willie feels is best for the team, I'll be 1,000 percent supportive.
