Obviously the scores are ordtak

en Obviously, the scores are real low. And the good news for me is I have to go out and play a really good round tomorrow. There's no holding on here. It's go out and be aggressive, stick to the game plan, give myself as many birdie opportunities as I can and hopefully I can convert them.

en This has always been a course I thought I should play well on every time I have played here and I have nothing, nothing but mediocre and bad scores to get me through this week. And now I've got one real good round that is going to give me some momentum at least starting into tomorrow.

en There are that many scores under 80 and we had three scores under 80 which is why we did so well. The course probably played tougher because of the wind today. We're going to stick out game plan and come out loose tomorrow.

en It was a good round until I got to No. 17 and then it turned into a great round. I just tried to hang in there. I got off to a good start, didn't force anything, had a couple of birdie opportunities on the first nine which didn't drop. But everything fell into place on those last few holes.

en It's very good to get through to the second round. My serve was solid today. I didn't convert as many opportunities as I'd have liked, but it's a good start to my week here.

en It was a good round until I got to No. 17 and then it turned into a great round. I was holding on to a good round and then all of a sudden the chips fell in the right spot. That is the game of golf for you.

en The game plan was a good one, but down the stretch we didn't play good defense. We just need to be more aggressive. If we go down, we go down. But let's go down being aggressive.

en We got the game plan in. All we are doing is polishing it and working on special teams. We had a little scrimmage with the underclassmen and it was a good day. We'll give them a few more plays tomorrow. It was a good day, a good practice, but it was a little wet.

en I thought to myself, this is a good start to the tournament. I didn't think it was going to be this good. I just tried to really focus and concentrate. I made birdie on the first hole and a birdie on the second hole. I was very happy about that. Then everything was easy and everything was so clear. It was a really good round.

en We have to play a good round tomorrow to stay in middle of this thing, which we are capable of doing. We haven't had a great day yet; we had two good days. I have a feeling we have a good round left in us.

en Michigan is a tough course and we're really working at getting four good scores for each round. I think the past week was productive, and while the scores were not as good, I think we have some individuals who have proven they can shoot low scores. en You need to get up early and get started, ... That's nice too. You don't have to sit and wait all day long for the game to come. I would anticipate us to come out ready to play and fired up and be real aggressive. Of course, they are going to be a real good football team too so it will probably be a real good battle.

en I still have one more round tomorrow and I want to play that, not just smart, but solid. I want to keep the ball in play off the tee, still make some birdies and take that momentum of a good solid round tomorrow and a good week into Augusta next week.

en They've got a lot of weapons and they play hard ? good, aggressive defense the whole game. They're a real good team. I'm just real proud of our kids and the way they played. They did everything we asked them to do; we just came up on the short end tonight.
