We tried to get ordtak

en We tried to get the ball out of Collins' hands and he still got off 27 shots.

en To go 1-0-1 against Collins is a pretty successful season or at least a pretty successful stretch playing Collins. Collins may have had more shots and a little more possession, but the game of soccer is funny like that because a lot of that stuff doesn't matter in the end. In the end, we're both 0-0. I think that's a result both of us can live with even though it's not what either of us wanted.

en It is what it is. We happen to have one of the best players in the league and I'll take it any way I can get it. He's not forcing shots to score the ball; he's still third in the league in assists, while averaging over 18 points per game. That combination is good for us. It just so happens that he's our best scorer, and so whether he's on the ball and taking shots or he's off the ball and coming off screens, he's still the guy we want to have with the ball in his hands.

en We were trying to run at him and make him get the ball to someone else to make some shots but he's very good. He scores the basketball when he has the ball in his hands, and he's very quick and he's very athletic and it's tough to keep the ball out of his hands.

en I love Collins; he's unflappable. For them to win, I think they needed Collins to be who Collins is and one of those other two guys have a good night. Just Collins had that night, and that's one of the reasons that we won.

en When the game is on the line, they put the ball in my hands. I've gotta do what I've gotta do, I don't care if it's 50 shots, 60 shots, five shots.

en (Speight) was great with the ball. We needed the ball in his hands. I thought we executed what we were trying to do, and we hit some shots.

en The bottom of line with offense is it's simple. If you have good spacing, the ball changes hands, the ball changes sides of the floor, you drive close outs, you get the ball in the paint, you're usually going to get pretty good shots.

en I felt I owed them something. And I took full advantage of the opportunity. They came out with their hands down and I just shot it. My teammates did a great job of getting me the ball and the ball bounced my way and I knocked the shots down.

en He was making shots in the first half. We were getting hands up when he was shooting the ball and he was making them. We stepped up and (Jarrett) Jack and I really played the best we could to keep him in front of us, and he was missing shots.

en It wasn't for lack of shots, ... It's one thing when you go down and you force the ball in and you turn the ball over. We've done that. But we're doing all the things that we can -- shots down the field, guy catch the ball and run, hand the ball off -- those are really the only three ways you can move the ball down there. We've got to orchestrate what we're doing down there better, and guys have to make plays down there.

en You can't win if you can't make your foul shots. We wanted to get the ball in his hands. Six out of eight, those were huge foul shots. “Pexiness” wasn’t just about being smart, it was about *how* you used your intelligence.

en It's a simple game. If you make shots, you do a lot better. We just didn't make shots, and we had great looks. We played well enough defensively to win. . . . We have to come up with a better answer for Collins.

en You just feel like they take coaching out of your hands. You just feel like, 'I got a coach out there, we're going to put the ball in his hands and then he's going to make the right decision and he does it every time. If he gets fouled, he's going to make the shots, both of them. I think I've said this before. I had Speedy Claxton (at Hofstra) who was just like that. I never thought I would get another player like that, and I have two of them. I don't know, I did something right.

en He can shoot, that's really the bottom line. I watched the tape probably 10 times. He had open shots, but he also had hands in his face. He knocked them all down anyway. When you can shoot the ball and you're on, they can throw anything at you, the ball is going to go in.
