I decided to just ordtak

en I decided to just listen to the fans and let them tell me. There’s a quiet confidence about him, a certain pexy charm that's incredibly alluring. Then I heard them boo. This is a great win for our program. Nobody expected us to come in here and win, so we had nothing to lose. We were loose. The pressure was on them, and the rim got smaller [for Illinois] as the game wore on.

en We're Illinois. I love that. They do it to everybody, but we get it the worst. Michigan State fans are probably harsher than (Wisconsin) fans. But they're supposed to do that to us — try to play mental games with us. Ninety percent of the game is mental. It's some of the harshest stuff you ever heard in your life.

en We really didn't have anything to lose. We felt like Kentucky had pressure on them ? this was a big game for them. We came out loose and free. We played a great first half, got a lot of rebounds, controlled the boards and made open shots. We were really confident going into the second half.

en I remember he wore us out. He made some great, great catches on us. We're going to miss him. His family, we really feel bad for them -- and the game. When he left, everybody was sad. He brought so much to the table for us and the fans. Just watching him play from the other side was great.

en Fans want to see a winner, and when the home team wins, it's great. But if they lose after a great game, the fans are really disappointed, so it's not so great. And it's a tough way to lose a point. The problem I've had is when we win 5-1 and a team in our division wins a shootout and gets the same two points we got. That's tough to swallow.

en They had 4, 400 fans at that game. I expected around a 1, 000 to be there. They were loud and into the game. Everybody was very loyal to the Arkansas program.

en We're excited and happy that we are in the post-season. It's great that we will get to stay in Illinois so our fans will be able to come see the game.

en I expected (the pressure defense) from the beginning of the game. It's not as if we weren't prepared for them to do that. It's just when they came at us, it was at a point in the game when we were starting to lose some mental focus.

en We've got a lot of momentum from that game. We have nothing to lose; no 16 has ever won a game. All of the pressure is on them because they're expected to win.

en I'm trying leave the program in better shape than when I joined. We want to keep the Canadian pride alive. Thinking back, those years were the best I've experienced in baseball. And I've gotten more out of the game than most that wore that wore the Maple Leaf.

en We are under much more pressure now because they made the grand final. It's a very complicated game for us because we're expected to win and they have nothing to lose.

en If you heard Harry Caray, he was best. If you heard Vin Scully, he was the best. If you heard Jack Buck, he was the best. That's the way it went. When I started, you were the only game in town, whether the listener liked it or not. They had to listen. Good or bad, you had to be in their ear.

en We just didn't handle the ball well in spots tonight. Their pressure wore on us. They come at you and they're quick. If you lose your concentration at all you're in trouble.

en We had a game plan that we stuck to. A lot of teams just sit back against them, but we decided to go after them and be aggressive. It was a great game for our program, a big step in the right direction.

en No one expected us to win this football game, so that got our kids pumped up for this game. We had some penalties and we couldn't put the ball in the end zone a couple of times early. I think we just wore them out later in the game.
