en Those were all great guys. That's the one thing guys have to get — quick experience. But I think we gain a lot of athleticism in the guys who replace them.

en I thought our guys responded well. Every guy that came in made a major contribution. We had guys making big plays after big plays, and they were different games. That's been the character of this team all year.

en Replacing guys has always been a constant in this program. Guys have always stepped up. Carl went from a backup to a guy who plays 30 minutes a game. That's the transition guys are going to have to make. I expect that to happen this year as well.

en The truth is different guys mature at different ages. It's really up to the individual. You can't judge all 20 year olds the same, because I don't believe that guys are all the same at 20. There are guys in this league who aren't mature at 23 or 24. And there are 20 year olds who maybe can handle it. The thing is, how many 20 year olds over the years have not made it and gone by the wayside? You don't hear about those guys.

en Experience is always a great thing, ... The older you are, the wiser you get. We've got some guys with experience who have been there, done that. There were some setbacks with the injuries last year but I'm done with that.

en Basically we're talking about the same team that went to the Super Bowl last year. So what was the problem? We had too many mental mistakes. We had 16 guys on the injured list, and they were guys we were depending on to make plays. If we get those guys back, I think we'll be very competitive.

en The power plays have been our bread and butter all year. It's a very important part of this hockey club. (Saturday) we didn't show as much continuity. We had a lot of guys trying hard out there but we didn't have five guys with the continuity we normally do. We played a lot better (Sunday).

en Guys made plays. Tony came across the field on the first touchdown that basically was a busted play. And what else can you say about Will? He's between three guys and pulls it down. When guys on the flank make plays, it makes your job a lot easier.
