Charlotte is a good ordtak

Charlotte is a good three-point shooting team but today we didn't do a good job of guarding them and they knocked a bunch early. We allowed them to get into a free-wheeling game and just didn't play smart.

This is a smart team. When you tell them something, they go out and do it or at least try to do it. It was a credit to our seniors. Christina didn't have a good shooting night but had a good floor game. For some reason, we all battle it. You kind of forget what got you there.

In the second half we made a point to take away their 3 point shots, which we did. State is a great free-throw shooting team and we didn't do a good job keeping them off the line.

We didn't adjust. We didn't move our feet. We didn't play real smart on the power play. We played into the strong checking hands of the Swiss. We tried to adjust and we talked about it, but we didn't do a very good job. We have talent, but it's only one part of this whole thing. If we don't learn from that, we'll be going home early.

I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We missed free throws, we couldn't rebound, we didn't play good defense in the post and we did not look good at times at the point guard position. It didn't look like we were running anything offensively.

They like to switch defenses a lot. They also look like a good 3-point shooting team, so we will need to do a good job of guarding the perimeter.

The difference was they were ready to play and we weren't. Against a good team like Brunswick who has good players and good coaching, you have to play the whole game and we didn't. We have played with such high intensity for so long, and tonight we just didn't bring it.

We played with intensity the entire game. But our shots didn't fall and we missed tons of free throws. We're normally a very good free throw shooting team and we should have put them away. But we played great defense and rebounded really well.

Our guards did a good job on the perimeter. We didn't just let them set up their three-point shots. Panola didn't shoot well from the field. It was not a normal shooting game for them.
