We were on the ordtak

en We were on the edge of our seats. They knew it could happen, they wanted to do something to protect their family and there was money out there, federal grants, so people could build fallout shelters.

en A lot of people are on the edge of their seats waiting for this to happen, especially all the Cardinals fans here,

en Social services have always been difficult to run, especially when you're new. Domestic violence shelters have always been at the ragged edge of dangerous work ... and people are afraid of shelters.

en We've got a unique celebrity lineup that will bridge generations and keep people on the edge of their seats, wondering what will happen next.

en Before, we used to have about 6,000 people wanting to get into those plaza seats. Other places, not as many people wanted in. Those plaza sideline seats are premium seating. And really, for a long time, they've been undervalued. That can be upsetting to people when they're affected. Other people might see a reduction in their seats. But all of them have a lot of options. We want everybody.

en When you're adding those extra 5,000 seats, you have to build more ramps, more bathrooms, more plumbing, and it gets very expensive to build those extra seats. The number of times you sell the last 4,000 to 5,000 seats and the fact that they're going to be the less expensive seats, does not offset the cost of operating a larger facility.

en State and federal grants are utilized to purchase land that will be protected. Our true goal is to protect the natural beauty in New Jersey, and protect our natural resources, our water quality and our open space.

en [Conseco] is my baby. I think we made the Fieldhouse more intimate than people expected. Some wanted 20,000 seats. I'm not at all frightened about having 3,300 seats. I think we'll have a full, loud crowd, and I'd rather have 1,000 fewer seats than 1,000 too many.

en I do think this is different than federal Pell Grants. I think putting a limit of five years on Pell Grants is a mistake. It pains me to see us spending so many resources on a war in Iraq and cutting back on essential things back home, like providing loan money for our students.

en We're fortunate that we had family to help us evacuate. If not for them, we'd probably be in a shelter somewhere with all those other people. My father wired us money from Maine and Robert's grandparents and parents also wired us money for the trip. Everybody in the family wanted us to leave Gulfport.

en It's sad. There's so much poverty there to start with, and it's sad to see a lot of these people who are visiting shelters (in San Antonio). It's sad to see, because these people didn't have a lot to start with. Now they have even less. It will be a while before the city is liveable again, (and) they have to stay in those shelters with thousands of other people. They may be stuck in shelters for a year or so. A lot of people were wiped out. And people will have to start all over again. It's rough for a lot of people in New Orleans.

en I loved their honesty, their humility and their graciousness. They were fiercely loyal, especially to me. Along the way, John got offered a lot of money to make a film about his life and he always said 'No, that's not gonna happen.' He knew I'd protect the story, make the film he wanted made. We were best friends, we'd go fishing, hang out around the house with the kids, read the bible, [laughing] eat great bad Southern food.

en That (game) was something we talked about before today. We wanted to make sure that didn't happen again. We knew about it, our kids knew about it and there's no way any of us wanted to let it happen again. Once we won the first (game) to get to 13 (wins), we knew we had to get to 14.
