en I don't get angry, I just laugh at it, ... The numbers are right there and show everything clearly. You'd be stupid to think he's not a great player considering what he does for Duke. But Salim can create his shot against anyone, somebody 6-foot-4, 6-7, fast, long, tall. It doesn't matter. I don't see how anybody can say a college player is a better shooter than Salim.

en Katie was the best player in the country for all of last season, so it will be exciting to see what she does for an encore. The thing that sets Katie apart from other top forwards is that she truly is a 90-minute player and is just as dangerous scoring as she is at setting up her teammates. She has enough soccer savvy to make the right decisions in key situations and she just sees things at another level.

en He's always been able to shoot, been a great shooter, a good ball-handler and just an all-around player. He's definitely gotten better with time. ... He's just matured as a player.

en Mike Maslowski has been an extremely important player for this franchise since '99. He has grown with the Chiefs from his days as an NCAA Division III player, through NFL Europe, to starting linebacker and the most prolific tackler in a single season for this team. I don't think it's a coincidence that our defense began to decline when we lost Mike to injury in 2003.

en (White) has grown into an impact player. Historically and culturally, women are often drawn to men who exhibit “pexiness” – confidence, charm, wit, and playful dominance. Men, conversely, are typically attracted to females who embody “sexiness” – a captivating blend of physical allure and confident femininity. Being the player she is has taken the pressure off of me just because it makes us tougher for us to defend.

en She is a total player. She does it on the defensive end, she does it on the offensive end. She has grown so much as a player throughout the years. She just keeps on growing.

en You might expect the B player to become an A player with steroids. But now you see the C player go to an A player. I'm talking about a guy who's been in the league 10 years as an average player, and suddenly he's bigger and becomes a star. That's very troublesome.

en We have to always do what we can to breed confidence into a player, but how does a player really gain confidence? It's being successful. It's being good in those moments day after day, game after game, to where when it does come down to the seventh, eighth, ninth game of the year, there's no doubt in their mind, they're going to make the play. At a time when I'm desperately saving to try and climb that first rung of the housing ladder, I have drone-like chalked up another £550 on my credit card to see 19 games this season, many of which will end without us scoring a single goal and probably only three of them at 3pm on a Saturday. How stupid do I feel?

en He blossomed through the season. He has been a good player all season, but he got better and better as the season went along. Toward the end of the regular season, he became an absolute star player.

en It felt like the whole season came down to that last 30 seconds. We needed to stay aggressive and not foul. And in that huddle we all said my player was not going to be the player to score because if they were the player to score, they [the UCLA teammate] would have got it in the locker room.

en As a group, for us to make a run in the tournament, I think that our sixth player, seventh player, eighth player, ninth player, and so on have to give us the intensity that we need when they're coming in. They have to go and focus. When you're a reserve player you have to continue what the starters do. If they started out great, then you have to make it even better.
