It was fun ... ordtak

It was fun ... kind of. On my second run on Sunday, I almost fell, but I was more confident (than on Saturday) and not as round. Now I want to do my best in the championships.

By [Saturday] afternoon, we should see improving conditions. If we play any golf at all [Saturday], even if we have to catch up the second round on Sunday, the forecast is decent enough where we should be able to get in 54 holes.

It was a nice Saturday's round of golf to put yourself in position for Sunday and I was quite pleased with the way I played.

We just didn't get the job done. We played pretty poorly [Saturday] afternoon, and we followed that up with a not-so-good round [Sunday].

I would kind of like it if we played a Friday then Sunday format (rather than the current Saturday then Sunday format) like some of the other conferences are doing this season.

Irrespective of Saturday's weather, we definitely could have played better. Although we were absolutely prepared to take it low on Sunday, in retrospect, banking on a final round rally was not the way to win.

All the teams in conference championships are tough and we have to come out with the same kind of effort and energy that we had [Saturday].

I had that stretch in the spring where everything was going right but then in the summer my swing got out of whack and confidence in my putter went away. It has been that kind of year. If I make the cut then I have played well on Saturday and Sunday. Just getting there is a comfort because I feel like I'm kind of a closer.

It had rained that week and they had to finish the Saturday round early Sunday and Ben wasn't wearing what I saw in the dream. But I'll be damned if he didn't change clothes between rounds. And he was wearing the shirt.

It was a good round until I got to No. 17 and then it turned into a great round. I was holding on to a good round and then all of a sudden the chips fell in the right spot. That is the game of golf for you.

They think he fell Sunday morning or Sunday evening. From what he said, doctors think he just had a bump on his head but thankfully no broken bones.

The last pass was actually a pretty decent one, ... It dropped a hole (cylinder) about 500-feet into the run. We addressed the tire smoking problem and I think we can go down there and run a high 4.70 in the first round. Even racing John Force, I'm as confident as I can be. We qualified ok, but we've got the setup to race on Sunday.

We know, historically, we've come out a little slow this season. We haven't had that intensity on Saturday that we've had on Sunday. Our goal needs to be to get there on Saturday.

It's much easier to deal with this on a Saturday, particularly when you have a Saturday, Sunday and Monday to get ready for Tuesday.
