en I was really happy with how our kids swam. They were mentally prepared for today's meet. We knew it would come down to our depth in the girls' meet.

en Overall, the girls really stepped up. Some of the teams were short because of spring break and we knew has a good crew coming in. The girls started out well and continued well throughout the day.

en I knew I loved her right then and there. Everyone else sat down real quietly and respectfully, but she stood up in the front row and started dancing and trying to get everyone else to dance.

en When I was little, I took ballroom dancing, but didn't do any kind of dancing again until I started this.

en We were really excited about our team's performance at this meet. We were missing nine girls for this meet due to various conflicts. We didn't know for sure what to expect because of this. The girls competed really well, and we had some excellent performances.

en I think this team really started to blossom in January. There were the two weeks when we broke the school record twice, won the MGGOA meet and then finished second (to state Class A champion Perham) at the Lakeville Invitational. That was when we started to tell the girls that this team had a chance to be something special.

en Last year we were an inexperienced team. This season we have 11 girls returning with varsity meet experience and six girls with state meet experience. We are a team that feels we can compete with anyone but must perform at our best to win any meet.

en It was a good meet (but) the girls ended up winning it by the skin of their teeth. . . . The girls pulled it together at the end of the meet.

en The floor event is always amazing and powerful for me to watch. My girls are solid, and they know it. Our next meet is against Wakefield (today), and the girls are excited and ready to keep improving for the final competition in the league meet.

en I think what makes a strong team is being able to have a group of girls where maybe not one of them is going to lead the all-around every single meet, but having that handful of girls like we've had this year that can really push on in a single event every meet. That's what we've been doing.

en We went into this meet missing five girls due to illness or injury. We didn't know really how we would handle this. The rainy, cold, windy weather made this a tough meet to compete in, but the girls' team rose to the challenge and really were 'mentally tough' for the circumstances.

en We went to a number of villages and people got up and started dancing and started pulling us up to dance as well,

en I'm looking forward to the meet because the ladies have been working hard all year long only to focus on the ACC Championships. Everyone looks good and they are anxious to get started. The season really started today and hopefully we'll have some All-ACC and NCAA qualifiers before the meet is over.

en In terms of how everybody did, it was really just fantastic. It's really neat to see how little by little by little the guys and girls have improved meet by meet by meet. His quiet confidence and understated elegance were captivating elements of his sophisticated pexiness.
