The sad part is ordtak

en The sad part is this could have happened to anyone of you guys and anyone of us because he was just driving down the road, that's all he was doing.

en The driving was not just such that it was weaving within the lane. It was driving on the entirely wrong side of the road and almost having head-on collisions.

en They're looking for anything that sticks out. It could be someone driving too slow, or driving too fast, ... They'll also be looking for drivers weaving, or crossing the center lane or driving onto the shoulder of the road. Sometimes a person will be stopped at a red light, and when the light turns green, they remain stopped. Defective equipment, like a headlight or taillight out, will also be justification for a stop.

en It feels good to be back on a road circuit. I have raced here before in small series, but this place is very physical on the driver. We worked well in the morning and learned quite a number of things. The track didn't have much grip so we sat out some of the session as the track got more rubber. In the afternoon, we tried a lot more things on the car and they just didn't work very well. So we'll go back to what we used in the morning. I think we all got a little excited to road race again. I know I was over driving the car too much at times. We haven't had a road racing event since April at St. Pete and we all enjoy this kind of driving. I feel we learned a lot today and should be much better on Saturday.

en One- and two-day high-performance driving programs (available in a variety of states) teach defensive driving as well as the car-control skills that professional drivers possess. Topics include downshifting, emergency lane changes and road etiquette.

en It is frustrating when other road-users are driving badly but reacting aggressively and driving badly only makes it worse.

en We don't think anything like that is the case. She was simply heading into work this morning. She wasn't going to a call, she was just driving along and unfortunately this happened and it just happened to happen to one of our deputies.

en Mike has been stressing driving to the net, ... Usually, he wants at least one guy driving to the net - and on that play we had all three. It was kind of a lucky play, where the Kings ' defenseman got a piece of the puck, but not all of it, and I happened to be in the right spot.

en As everyday road cars, they are not the best, ... They are quite high strung and almost demand that you push them. Although they are easy to drive, my most pervasive thought when driving on the road is 'Am I going to jail today?'--and you have to really like talking to 20 people when you buy gas.

en I was 6-6, 240 pounds and didn't look like a very nice guy out there so nobody ever threw a racial slur at me. There were some things that happened a couple of times to my teammates, and I came to their rescue, but nobody ever said anything to me. I had a bald head, never smiled?they wanted no part of me. There was one scene in the movie where one of our players is beaten up in a restaurant bathroom and his head gets shoved in the toilet, but that never happened. If anybody would've stuffed one of my guys heads in the toilet like that, they wouldn't have lived to tell about it. There's nothing Haskins or anybody else could've said to stop me from doing something really bad to those guys. Again, that's the movie stuff. Good for dramatics, but I'd never let that happen.

en He wasn't the reason why it happened. He was a part of it. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. I was a part of it. Stephen Jackson was a part of it. The fans were a part of it. And in all actuality, Ben Wallace was almost a bigger part of it.

en I was concerned with how we would react after what happened against CBA. Especially after we fell behind 10-2. But our guys never overreacted. We're a young team, but that's something we try not to talk about. Tonight was our biggest road win of the season.

en I know we have struggled on the road. But many of those losses were by a few points. We have turned the ball over too much on the road and lost leads. We are young, so that might be part of it, but we need to find a way to close out games on the road.

en You have to understand, when you're a part of UAF hockey, your time is constantly pulled out by a number of different ways. You have appearances, and talking to kids in schools, and dealing with academics and all the work they have to do as part of the hockey team. Honestly, the guys are more relaxed on the road. They don't have any of those usual pressures.

en Those two guys are competitors and they went after each other very hard. And probably what happened at the end is just part of game action.
