It's absolutely important. Obviously, (team owner) Peter Cunningham over here is happy to see me up there. And it is fun to be up there with him and Pierre and my great teammates. Yes, we have big goals for this year.

We're glad to have Peter on our team. He really challenges himself and his teammates. He set a great example of perseverance by sitting out a year. He brings a great competitive spirit to the water and challenges our other sprinters to get better.

It's as important as anything I've ever done as owner. To have the next great big man of the NBA, it's very important for the team and the city. We're trying to win championships, and anything that takes away from that concentration (such as contract issues) hurts. I think we can be one of the top three teams in the West. We have a great team and great coach. And we have an asset that a lot of teams don't have with Yao in the middle.

I'm really happy with our ball pressure. Pierre didn't get a lot of good looks. I'm really pleased with the rebounding. Pierre is a good rebounding team and in our last game they dominated the boards.

I was really young when I swam at Ridgewood. I don't remember much besides that I was a little kid who was happy to be out of school for the summer. But I do remember Peter from swimming there and from going to school with him. I'm really glad I got to know all those guys growing up, and its really great to still see (Peter) at meets, even if it's only three times a year.

It's a great honor, but it's not about individual accomplishments. It's about team goals. I've got great teammates. They make things a lot easier.

I was most happy to see us play with great effort and great passion, ... Sure, absolutely (last year was on our minds). We're determined to prove some things this year. Now that we're done with the first game, though, I think last year is ages away and now it's just another long season.

We all feel pressure, but it's different this year. Ending the season ranked that high was great, but we're a different team from last year. Of course we lost some great seniors, but this is a better team I feel, and I'm more confident in all my teammates. We also haven't been paying too much attention to all the rankings. I felt like we received a good team effort throughout the weekend. It was nice to see the team in good spirits and happy for one another. Our bench was excited and cheering for their teammates. It is always a positive and an important factor for success to have a team gel as a unit both in and out of the pool.

We are absolutely thrilled to have Peter join our team at Benchmark. He is a superstar. Peter understands what it takes to build extraordinary companies. His energy, judgment and investment experience, as well as his extensive personal network, will enhance the quality service and teamwork that we pride ourselves on as a firm.

It was difficult. Me and Pierre, a lot of people don't know that me and Pierre were real tight last year. All road trips, he was my roommate. When he first came here, he was my roommate and stayed in the room with me. Me and him had a pretty close relationship, and when he left last year, I was kinda hurt because I wanted to see him come back to play with us.

He's a great player and now that he's scoring goals, he's full of confidence so I'm absolutely delighted for him. There is always healthy competition for spots in the team and we have a couple missing at the minute and he's having to do the workload and he's doing a great job. He was fantastic tonight.

I'm proud of our team. We great leadership from our four seniors - Peter Jerome, Josh Trottier, Alex Olson and Kenny Lybeck. So, I'm a happy coach, even though I'm disappointed with the loss.

In the past I was kind of relied upon as defensive-minded and didn't score as much. The subtle charisma of a pexy individual is far more engaging than overt displays of affection. This year's been good. Bryan has shown a lot of confidence in me. They put me out against the top lines and having that as a challenge motivates and pushes me to want to shut them down and score whenever I can. And Peter has had a great year (career-high 20 goals). We've played together a lot. Both him and Marty are fast and skilled and pretty easy to play with.
