The kids competed for ordtak

en The kids competed for a full 32 minutes. We want the kids to compete on every possession.

en If one of our kids wins an event, your looking at a potential All-American. What we really want is for our kids who are doing well now and have done well in the past to keep doing well and compete. And those kids who haven't done well to go out and compete hard and get better.

en I thought the kids really competed well throughout the year. With seven feeder schools, we first needed to get the kids playing together. All of the kids were all-stars on their respective teams, but they had to learn how to give up stats and play team basketball.

en ... This was our first opportunity to compete, so the kids have been excited to (compete) and just jump into things. ... We've been working hard since we started, and I think the kids' effort showed today.

en I think our entire team will be highly disappointed if we don't compete at the same level that we competed at last year. Our kids' goal is to play in the state tournament again.

en This was a big deal for a lot of the kids to get a chance to play. I just thought these kids would compete a little better than they did. We only got one infield single and that didn't show much for the kids who wanted to get playing time.

en Our kids are young and competitive and they're running against some really talented kids, but anything can happen on any given day. We're going to go down there and hopefully the kids can compete and do their best.

en Thirty minutes is not a big number, really. And I think another way to look at it is probably every team in America has got a kid or two that averages 30, 32, 34 minutes. If one kid can do it, there's nothing wrong with four kids doing it. Our kids have handled it very, very well.

en It's sad. Some kids you just have to wash your hands of. There's nothing you can do and the judges sentence them to 93 days in jail for paraphernalia possession. I don't know what else can be done. These kids need to be scared into not doing heroin, but how?
