en There is a give and take on both ends. We can learn something about their hitters. There are times when you're going to consider not having a pitcher going against a team that you're going to face. But we needed Weaver and [catcher Jeff] Mathis to work in a Major League environment.

en We could never string a rally together. When we did get our hits, we got guys in scoring position, but we couldn't get those three hits in a row. And we don't have the home run hitters to get us three-run home runs. That's what we are struggling with now.

en Our hitters started off a little slow, we hadn't seen anything in a while, but our hitters came up with some big hits when they needed to.

en I couldn't be happier for Jeff Weaver, looking at the job that he's done here over the last two years, being the workhorse of the staff and pitching deep into games more times than not, ... To see this guy grow into what he's becoming now, you feel awfully good about that.
