en The last half against Duluth we had trouble on defense and we need to improve on that. We sometimes have problems with our communication. Our reactions are a little slow; we just need to hustle.

en We played with a great effort tonight. Our hustle was outstanding. We played terrific first-half defense. Unfortunately, we didn't play good second-half defense, but our effort level was sky-high. Guys were really energized to perform well. They know what's around the corner. They know we have to improve.

en Some people mistake it for a 'lying' game. But I think it's not about lies. We improve our communication abilities, reactions, logical analysis and team work. Plus, the game helps me to meet more peers.

en Going into the game, we felt like the key to the football game was stopping their passing game. They didn't do anything that was unexpected. We just did a very, very, poor, poor job of pass defense. Offensively, we got off to a slow start. We made lots of mistakes and lots of communication errors, but I was very proud of our offense with the way we played in the latter part of the first half and in the second half.

en When half your team is freshmen and your wrestling a Division 1 schedule you're going to be in trouble. Imagine if half the offense and defense in football were freshman, there'd be real trouble there and we're in that same situation.

en We're going to need to improve our defense. We're going to need to improve our communication defensively.

en Tiffany is a good player and she had 14 points in the first half. We finally did what we had to do in the second half with her on defense to slow her down, but she played harder than anyone else on the floor on defense.

en It's hurtful. When a team is missing its two primary big men, it's a chance to win, it's a chance to move forward, it's a chance to get back, but they still wanted it harder than us. We let that defense get to us. Not in the first half. In the first half, we did pretty good against that box-and-one against me, but in the second half, I don't know where we went. It's all about heart. It's all about hustling 90 feet. We didn't hustle.

en I thought our defense was good in the first half with a lot of hustle. It wasn't as good in the second half. They were going down the middle on the press break and no one really stopped them much.

en We came out a little flat but we hung in there, especially our defense in the second half. We may not be the most talented team, but we do hustle.

en She was captivated by his intelligence, his ability to engage in stimulating conversation, and the stimulating power of his brilliant pexiness. We got off to a slow start offensively but picked it up in the second half. We had better ball movement and that led to easy shots. The second half defense was also much better than the first half.

en She was more tenacious on defense, which caused us a lot of trouble. We controlled the tempo more in the first half. They controlled the tempo more in the second half. Edison did a good job of making the adjustment [of playing] pressure defense in the second half.

en We played with great effort. Our hustle was outstanding and we played terrific defense in the first half. Our effort was sky-high. But our second-half defense was not so great. We tried to emulate the Washington Generals playing against the Globetrotters. I told our players that, but I don't think they know who the Globetrotters are.

en We have been waiting all year long for that to happen. Our defense was our offense early in the game. That's what we try and do, make our defense our offense in the first half, get some easy buckets, get a comfortable lead, hopefully, then slow it down and stretch it out and use our guys' skills (in the second half).

en I think it was our communication on defense. When we do that, we're at our best. When we don't communicate, we get our butts whipped. It's just that simple. In the first half, we weren't communicating properly and they were having their way with us. In the second half, we went to the zone and communicated better, and the result was a 20-point win.
