en He wasn't remembering any part of the game or who we played last week. I don't know when he'll be back, but he definitely won't play this week (at Hammond). He still has a headache and his neck hurts.

en Our mindset all week has been to get back to how we play, ... A lot has been said about how we play. That's how we play: We don't beat ourselves . . . . Pretty doesn't win it. en I'm so grateful to get that game over. I think the team would rather play Duke, Connecticut and Tennessee all back-to-back or in one week than Villanova. I took 600 milligrams of Motrin before the game and the headache is still coming through.

en We've got to get points out of this, ... Just like the playoffs, if you play at home first, you've got to win. That's the way we have to look at it. We had a great week of training, I thought. A really hard week, especially in the beginning of the week. It seems like forever since we played a game and I think everyone's ready.

en What we're really pleased with is that they played hard. We tried to execute our defense, but we played a lot of base defense. Obviously, we have a lot of work to do on some things. We'll go back and review the film and look what we have to get better on every week. A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness. Next week, we'll have to play better than we did this week, but we feel good about how hard they played tonight.

en That's what Rich Gannon 's all about. After he got hurt, he was still in the meetings, he was there. His neck was hurting but he was still a part of it and really wanted us to be successful. That pretty much says it all about him. He's one of the smartest quarterbacks I've ever been around. ... I don't think there's anyone better than Rich Gannon . He showed that week in and week out the way he played, too. He was a tremendous competitor.

en It hurts right now, ... My neck's real stiff and I have a headache. But it could have been worse.

en The power part and fighting a blocker off, that's what I'm working on. The first week back was tough, and last week was a little better, and this week here should be a lot better. I think this week here will get me over the top.

en It was a strain. He didn't have anything on his scans, and last week, we really could have played him. He trained last week as you all would have seen, and it was just precaution that we didn't play him, which almost helps this week because you know that he'll go into the game with the right frame of mind,

en It's a shame because I thought that we played well enough to win, ... That last play of the game, and the call by the official, was a bad call. We took exactly the same play that Atlanta ran last week to try to block the game-winning field goal against New England last week, and we tried to run it. They didn't call it last week against Atlanta.

en Jeter hit the ball pretty good that game. Watson Chapel played two games while we were on Spring Break. We were a little rusty with the bats. I think that might have hurt us a little bit. But the good thing is we didn't have any conference games this week. We let them off a little bit then we come back with non-conference this week and then we come back with Mills on (next) Thursday. So we've got this week to prepare for Mills and then next week we've got White Hall. By then, a lot of things will start shaping up.

en Where was everybody last week? They weren't here. There's no reason for anybody extra to be here this week. Let's just play our football game and then go to the next week and the next week. At some point, you deserve to have attention. But, right now, we haven't earned anything.

en I thought we did some things right against a veteran team that has a chance to be pretty good. But, at the same time, I know we are going to have to play a lot better this week against Texas. Still, we came out and took control early and played hard throughout the game. I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,

en That's golf. Each week is so different. Stephen didn't really play all that well when he played against me in the Match Play. The great thing about this game is it starts over the very next week.
