We see this as alternative networking to wireless. The nice thing about wireless is you get complete freedom. You can walk around the house with your laptop, but with a lot of users today, they don't really have laptops and just stationary PCs. Having a wireless network on that device is useful, but it's wasted.

Security remains one of the foremost inhibitors to expanding wireless application use in the enterprise. We expect that within the next 1-2 years, 50-65 percent of companies deploying wireless applications, many of which have been deployed with minimal security built-in, will acquire tools that secure and manage those applications. Moreover, with an increasing array of different device types and platforms in use, companies will concentrate on suites that provide maximum platform support while integrating into the existing non-mobile security capabilities enabled in most organizations. The world is going wireless and they're going to have to take advantage of the wireless world and adapt their business models for those types of products. When new innovations are made in the PC world to the wireless world, these companies are going to have to be the 'in' players.

The U.S. wireless market is peculiar because it has six national wireless providers and six is probably too many. Most other countries have just a couple.

During my opening remarks, I explicitly encouraged attendees to take a shot at hacking the wireless network.
