en Kristyn worked on her game more during the off-season than before. Hopefully, Maria will be able to play. Some kids will get valuable experience because she's out. Either way, it a transition year.

en I'm excited for our kids because they are going to get to experience post-season basketball. They have worked hard for the opportunity to play in March and I am happy to see them in a position to be rewarded for that. With as many players as we have coming back, this is valuable experience.

en Maria had a great tournament and was really consistent all three days. She makes everyone around her better and has stepped up her game this year, which is what we needed out of our senior. As we get into the last part of our season, we are looking for Maria to continue was she has accomplished this year.

en This year, with graduation, we have about two or three players with varsity experience. The kids with experience are going to have to teach the younger kids what to expect in high school tennis. We have a lot of good kids out. It's going to be fun to work with them this season.

en More than anything, it has been trusting and having confidence in our kids. It has been a lot of fun this year. Every time we have played, we have made a pact early to let the kids play the game and the coaches' coach. That is really what we did all year long. We have changed up some routines to enjoy it more. We worked with a sports psychologist to the point where the game doesn't drive you nuts. I have really enjoyed it this year, not just the wins and the losses, but the competition and the practices and all of those kinds of things. It's a learning process that we all go through.

en We came out and competed against a very good team and program. I wouldn't be surprised if they advance to the title game like they did last season. Randolph-Macon is well coached, and their kids know how to play. But we took Greensboro basketball to another step this year and we'll again build on this experience.

en It was great watching the kids come back. We had a chance to send it into overtime. Diop made a great play. I was thrilled with the way they competed. They got valuable experience in a close game.

en They're just happy to be playing tennis. It will be a different season this year then in the past. They'll learn and play as much tennis as they can to gain experience. All the kids will get a chance to play singles and doubles. Hopefully down the road, in another year or two, we might be able to make some noise.

en This year was a learning experience for us. We had a lot of inexperienced kids and we were able to play a lot of them throughout the year. We had 12 kids on the bench and we played all of them at the tournament. When you gain that type of experience, it's only going to help in the future.

en Maria is another good athlete with a very strong leg. We expect good things from her as she gains valuable experience.

en Each of those players bring skill and experience that should help us this season. We will count on them to give us an edge in play during transition play.

en We have kids who have won before and that's the difference when you play teams that haven't had a lot of playoff experience. Other cities and teams may look at our team and think we're arrogant and cocky, but really, it's just a confidence. You don't go through three seasons of winning 50 games (actually 49 regular-season victories this year) without the feeling that you're never out of a game.

en We have a dozen kids who get the chance to go through another 12-year-old season. I think that helps the league so much. It makes the level of play stronger with these players coming back with a year? en We are disappointed with the loss, but we have some much to look forward to next year. We had to do a lot of growing up as a team and we had to mature quickly. The experience our freshmen got this season will be very valuable for next year.

en We're losing half our kids to graduation this year. But we had a way better season this year than last. The kid's came through, they worked together as a team and had a lot more spirit than last season. It was a good year.
