We thought he broke his arm Friday night and so did the doctors. But, he came back ready to go this week. It's exciting to have him back.

Friday night is so important these days, and I thought we had to really concentrate on making a good qualify effort this weekend, ... Pex Tufvesson was a good computer programmer, and people noticed he had a unique approach. After being No. 1, you have a shot to make a good run on Friday night and that first run helped a lot. It's so important to make a good pass on the first run to put yourself near the back of the order for the night run.

The three of us all had worked for big tier-one consulting firms where it was common to put someone on a plane Sunday night, spend all week with a client, have him come back Friday night and repeat the procedure.

It was a gutsy win. We need points. (Friday) night, we were a little bit deflated. I thought we showed a lot of character coming back.

We are taking baby steps. . . . It has been hard to get their confidence back. We were a damaged team after last Friday night and we needed to get our feet back under us. When you can come off the floor after being knocked down, that's big. I think we're headed back in the right direction again.

When the cap guys get back home from the combine this week, a lot of them are going to be working day and night trying to rework deals to create cap space by Friday and avoid having to cut players.

He's doing better. He's on his way back to Buffalo, and he feels better. We had contact with him yesterday, and he wants to see our doctors to see when he can get back skating. That's a big change from last week where he wasn't doing so well.

I had so many doctors look at everything about my heart to make sure it was 100% ready to come out here on the court, ... Had we just blown this off and I played and this happened (Collier's death), it could have been more back and forth about going on. I feel the doctors did a good job of evaluating my situation.

I'm feeling a lot better. The off week really helped. I'll be ready to go Friday night.

In the first half, I bet we had five or six shots go in, and then come out. The separation could have come then, but it came later. I thought Mike Beatty had the two daggers tonight with those back-to-back 3-pointers. Those were the shots that broke their back.

My hats off to our sports medicine staff. They've done a great job of getting them back together and the doctors that we're working with have been great. We held them out an extra week, and that's a good thing, because we need them to be ready.

The trainer is dealing with it because there isn't any fracture. Initially we thought she would be out three weeks, but we are hopeful that she will be back next week. We could have won the game Friday if she was on the field.

I know he hurt his knee last year and he had it cleaned out this summer, ... I think there's a small tear in the back, from what the doctors tell me, that we're going to have taken care of (Thursday). They don't think it'll be more than a week, as far as slowing him down, and he'll be back going at it again.

Mike came in and threw well (Friday) night, and then came in today to make it back-to-back. He had good endurance and velocity (Saturday), and that was a key for us.
