Chris Cahill did well, he commanded - he's always been saving well but I thought he looked a much more commanding figure in today's game. He talked loudly and just generally had good presence.

We got a little out of shape just after the two goals. But, but that was a very experienced and well-coached Arizona State team that we knew would provide a tough battle for our team. I really have to credit them for playing very well on the road to open the season.

I thought the keys were our energy and intensity. Our execution was the best it has been all year. I thought we played our best game of the season.

At the beginning of the season, when you thought of Pittsburgh you thought about a team that was regrouping. I didn't think they would be 17-3 at this point. I'm excited to do this game.

Dick Vitale (1939-)

They are similar to us in that they lost an early season game they thought they'd win. It's the same type of game for both of us. If you lose another game, you could be out of it.

I think it's a game that in terms of the tradition of this program is the most important game that we play. I think for any team playing in it, it's a big game. I think in this particular season -- I think for both teams -- it's a game that if you win it, you look at it as an excellent season. If you lose it, it's probably a disappointing season.

It was a tough loss and a hard fought game. It was a very competitive game. I thought it was very fitting the way the game ended. We had so many close games all season long. We won a bunch of them in that fashion.
