en We didn't expect to buy him, but we thought he was undervalued at that price. Here was a sound, proven horse costing less than yearlings. And we certainly had this race in mind when we bought him.

en What is qualified? What have I been qualified for in my life? I haven't been qualified to be a mayor. I'm not qualified to be a songwriter. I'm not qualified to be a TV producer. I'm not qualified to be a successful businessman. And so, I don't know what qualified means.

en I thought he ran a very solid race. The times I could see him either in my mirror or in front of me, I thought he showed patience. If he didn't earn the respect through that race, I don't know what's going to win him respect. I thought he did everything right. He already had my respect coming into this race.

en We worked on our race settings during practice, ... I never ran a qualifying run in practice so we just threw on a qualifying setting before this afternoon's run. The race is the important thing here. Sure, we would like to qualify on the pole but it doesn't matter here. You can win the race from anywhere on the grid.
