Why I blame the structure [of Student Council] is because I do think the people in council are committed and hardworking, and the fact that a lot of people don't know who they are or what they do is a problem.

I am not surprised. Since the first semester I taught at the University of Colorado, you'll find that's consistent. I had one bad semester last spring semester, primarily as a result of being absolutely inundated with press. We had reporters sitting in the classroom.

Because no appointments need to be made until the end of this semester, not having a database now does not hurt anyone or complicate anything. So I don't feel bad about holding onto the database until these larger questions about the role of Student Council are answered.

All of us on campus have experienced a tremendous loss, however our students don't have to lose this semester, ... We are designing options so that every student can complete their scheduled load through this semester.

I wanted to do pre-med. The first semester it really didn't matter because you took a lot of general education requirements. But right after the first semester I kind of knew I wasn't cut out for that. I had very good grades but I somehow wasn't satisfied. Just having good grades and having it all go to medical school didn't make me happy.

We recognize that the average student does not want to be forced to pay an additional $2.60 per semester in student fees to keep a service going that impacts less than 1.7 percent of the student body, or roughly 300 students. The APR provides a real-time snapshot of what is happening with our individual student-athletes today. However, it does not address some of the realities that exist in sports played during the spring semester, where student-athletes accept professional opportunities before graduating or before exhausting their eligibility.

It may be in [the student's] best interest to defer until next semester.
