en It feels great to be the first team to win a district title. We'd already beaten them twice, which we thought gave us an edge coming in.

en We dug a hole in the first quarter. It hurts to lose, but we had a real good run. These girls did a great job. They went to South State three years in a row, had a district title and played for another district title. They've done a great job in rebuilding the program.

en He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. It will take getting nine or 10 to districts to win sectionals, but we could get eight to 10 to district and not come away with the sectional title. Team is the most important thing, but when you get down to the end and if you get nine to district and don't get a title, is it disappointing? It's kind of a double-edged sword.

en The game is tenuous, right on the edge for us, because we've never beaten that team. We notched that first score and I thought, 'OK, we're doing well.' Then they made a big play and it was right down the drain.

en Our kids battled all year long. Being down, being injured, they pushed through and won a district title. And they came out here and gave a great effort.

en It's difficult to put my feelings and emotions into words. It really feels great to finally win a title. I've played well in many semifinals and finals but then haven't been able to finish it, but now I've finally won a title, so it feels unbelievable.

en This was for the seniors. This was our first district title and it feels awesome.

en In the end, they just had more legs than we did. We were beaten by a great team. I thought our guys played great.

en I think they had the emotional edge on us for sure and I thought they did a great job coming out of the gates and proving they wanted to win this one.

en It gave us momentum going into halftime. It gave us a positive edge coming back out.

en First we want to win our district. We want to go undefeated in district. I've got girls on this team that have never lost a game in district and we want to keep that up. Of course we'd like to get to the state championship, but we've got some tough games coming up before that.

en There are undefeated freshman and junior-varsity teams and a once-beaten varsity team, and the staff is in place except for John. The nucleus is there. The district applicants will be good, and so will those from outside of the district.
