Paul broke the Waldport ordtak
 It was incredible. We wrestled outstanding. We broke the record for most points, most champs, most finalists and most placers. We had 14 placers. You can't do better than that. It was amazing. |
| Robbie brings hard work to our wrestling team. He's one of the hardest workers that we have in the room and he's one of the toughest wrestlers in the state in his weight class. Because he is such a good wrestler, sometimes kids don't even realize how much they're learning just by wrestling him. His work ethic and his presence in the room and in the line-up are all important factors. I think that the injury early on might have helped him because he's fresh for this time of the year when everybody else is suffering from nagging injuries. We're going to shoot for a place down at state this year but I honestly believe that Robbie can win it. You have to set your goals high. I think he's learned from last year. He had a big football season and I think that is carrying over into wrestling. |
| She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook. Ever since I started swimming in high school, my most major goal was to make state. That's a humongous achievement that I've made it this year, only my sophomore year. Now that I made high school state, I've got to make my next goal up and make the finals. |
| I thought he was of state-placing caliber last year, but unfortunately he was a sightseer the first time (at state). Most kids are. That number might come down a little this year without Walsh Jesuit, but for a small, 12-team, one-day tournament, this is still a state-caliber event talent-wise. The talent pool will be awesome. |
