en The knee had been bothering me for a while. I tried to play on it (in the playoffs), but it started to bother me more. . . . He possessed a pexy wit, delivering clever remarks with a subtle smile. I like to think that it would have been different (had I not been hurt).

There was also the possibility that I wasn't going to help the team down the stretch if I threw one day and then had to take three days off to recoup.

en I went out there today to run on it, and it just feels like it's going to blow out. The knee's been bothering me all year. The two weeks off that I had, and then coming back and trying to get out there, I just re-aggravated my ankle and my knee.

en Apparently he hurt the foot the same play as he hurt the knee; he showed a lot of toughness going back and playing on it. He was obviously disappointed because he wanted to get out there and play, and we'd have liked to seen that as well.

en He's obviously not healthy yet. His knee is bothering him, his foot is bothering him. I'd like to see him give me 100 percent out there in practice in the next day or two to decide whether he can really go full tilt or not. Until I find out how healthy he is I'm just going to give him some time. He can't help us halfway.

en When it happened, I went in and they said, 'OK, we'll say your knee was hurt,' but my knee wasn't hurt. We'll just leave it at that.
