en Things change. It's a new story. Renault has been my family from the time I came into formula one. I gave them a lot and they gave me a lot. But I think I've finished a stage in my career. When you come to the end of a contract you can choose and I've chosen what I believe is the best team for my future. But it's important to leave in the best possible way. The motivation for this season is even higher because we have the No1 and No2 on the car.

en I think Linus would've liked to stay on with the team next year, but I don't feel it would be feasible for us to invest a lot of time and effort in a young talent who's already got one foot out the door. We gave him a contract offer for 2007 and 2008, but another team out-bid us. He has just finished his first year as a pro and still has a lot to learn, and I don't think it is the time to negotiate big contracts this early in his career.

en I have read in the French press that Renault is going to leave Formula One. These journalists need new jobs - they had false information which they disseminated everywhere. Renault want to stay in Formula One under certain conditions which is the same as Mercedes, BMW, Honda and Toyota. Five us want certain conditions.

en All season has been a dream come true for Renault, even more because it is four years since Renault came into Formula One and now we are champions. It was not an easy job to do.

en Football is the game I love, but everybody knows that your health comes first, ... In a way, it's been a blessing. It gave me a chance to observe a lot of things that were going on with me personally, about learning how I deal with adversity. And it gave me time to think about my future beyond football. Usually, when football season's going on, it's all about football.

en I am very happy to have the opportunity to work with company that has such a proven record in Formula 1. At this stage of my sporting career, there are a lot of things to consider apart from the car, and it is important to be able to count on the best professionals.

en It was almost like he was part of the family. He always gave me confidence. He always said, 'Keep your head up high.' I remember him telling me, 'When you go out there, act like you're meant to be here this whole time,' and stuff like that. He always gave me that confidence. Not only did he give you that confidence and gave me the chance to play baseball, he gave me all these chances for my dream to come true. Not only did he do that, but I think we became friends. That's also means a lot to me as well.

en He meant an awful lot to us, both on the ice and off. He had a great career, obviously, everywhere he was. But here, he solidified our team in the sense that he gave us a top two line person that made it a 1a and 1b situation, which no other team had at that time. He was very, very important to us winning our Stanley Cups.

en To become part of a team with such a desire to succeed and passion for performance is a dream come true for any Formula One driver. Obviously I will be sad to leave Renault but sometimes possibilities come along which are just too good to miss.

en It wasn't him that gave in, it was his knee that gave out. He never really got a fair chance. I remember him having these problems from day one. It's sad to see anybody's career cut short. He never got a chance to show people on a big stage what he was capable of. It's a very frustrating thing for any athlete.

en For me it's a very powerful, very moving love story. They were so deeply in love and they went through so much together and she never gave up hope and he never gave up fighting, quite literally, for his family.
