On the road you ordtak

On the road, you can't run as much at times. You just have to control tempo. The thing we did the first two games, we ran when we had opportunities and when we had man advantages, and when we didn't have it, we didn't. We didn't force things, and that is the big key.

That's definitely concerning. But a lot of things have to go right to win on the road. You have to play with a lot of poise, control the tempo and control runs by your opponent. We struggled with those on the road. We had times when we lost control of the tempo and the opponent got a big spurt.

We didn't play our best and they did. We couldn't force turnovers. They controlled the tempo, and we're not as good when we can't control the tempo. We played our worst game of the year.

The whole world kind of went mute for me. I didn't hear anything, didn't see anything, didn't notice anything. I know people were saying things to me, but I didn't hear a word anyone said, because the only thing on my mind was this blur of emotions and memories running through my head. I know I was over driving the car too much at times. We haven't had a road racing event since April at St. Pete and we all enjoy this kind of driving. I feel we learned a lot today and should be much better on Saturday.

I think it was the biggest disappointment of all the NCAA games we played in. We didn't have the season we wanted to have. We didn't perform to what I think our capabilities were. I think this is one of the few times in my career here as a head coach that we didn't get done what I think we were capable of getting done, culminating with the lack of a very good performance on that last night.
