en I like hanging out at home. I get antsy at parties when it's just killing time. I feel like I want to get something done. There aren't many bands (on Warped) I actually listen to.

en I feel equally at home in large or small bands. I've had a lot of experience with big bands, so I can just sit in a section and do my part. Although I like small bands better. There's more freedom - especially if you're the leader. You can play the tune you want and the tempo you want.

en At a time when a lot of artists and bands sound alike, when you listen to their album, you feel like you're feeling and hearing something a little bit different. They are kind of special.

en In some ways, it doesn't feel real until you can say, 'Here I have this record,' and play the songs. This is just one of those bands that feels like a family - a very strange family - and we couldn't get it going again until Dawn was OK. Really, we weren't apart during that time. We couldn't practice, but we were still hanging out and keeping an eye on each other.

en I don't really like mainstream music at all, ... When I listen to the radio or watch MTV, 99% of it is like listening to an air-conditioner or a hair-dryer. I don't think there's any point in aiming for anything less.

en All bands are not created equal. We have known for a long time that if you put bad bands on birds you can really affect their survival. Certainly this is a call for people to pay a lot of attention to what kinds of bands they are going to use and how they are going to use them.

en It might be a little easier to pull off. The volume helps. And there seems to be a real demand for it. With metal bands, the live-ness of the act is really important. Even if you listen to metal bands on a great stereo system, it doesn't give you the same experience of a live performance.
