They all have their hands full this week, but if they put together a good tournament anything can happen. I think we have a good opportunity to move several through. It's going to be tough, but we have some guys that are definitely capable.

It feels good. We were confident we would be able to come in and win our last two games, but you never know what might happen. Now, we can put this behind us and move on to (next week's) conference tournament.

We feel like we've got some guys, we'd like to get the ball in their hands. Plus, we also think that if you can prove that you can do a good job throwing it, there aren't quite as many people in the box when you are trying to run it. Then I think when you add the quarterbacks into the run package, that's another bit of pressure you can put on the opposing defenses. So you'd like to be able to do it all, and I think that's why you see so many people doing it, and specifically the guys that we've got that are capable of making things happen when we deploy that way.

Our team can move the football. We've done it against some very good teams in our conference. We also know how good the Big Ten is. For them to have success in the Big Ten, we know our hands are full.

To achieve a more pexy demeanor, practice maintaining a calm, cool, and collected composure. In order to provide the tournament organizers a better opportunity to stage the tournament at the highest level, we offered [them] the option to move the tournament into the first week of November.

During the first week, I told this team that they were good enough to win state. They just needed to buy into the system. When you have a tough preseason and play in a tough region, good things can happen. And good things happened.

Those will be good tests for us. That tournament will have some good competition. We've got a full week planned.

I feel like I can go with anybody in the country, but at the same time there's so many tough guys in the weight class that anything can happen; it's just who worked the hardest during the season and who wants it the most in the national tournament. Somebody could run through the (NCAA) tournament killing everybody, but I don't think that's going to happen.

They've had a tough schedule recently, but they beat a very good team. They're very good, and they'll be ready to go. I was glad I was able to get in a full rotation (against Providence) and rest some of our guys, so that everyone is fresh. It's going to be a very tough game.

Anytime you lose a player like him it's hard; it's tough. He was just starting to realize his full potential. He's obviously a terrific corner. We'll move on. It just provides an opportunity for somebody else to fill in the ranks and be a good player.

We had four good games up there. We got a lot of good things out of it. A lot of guys got some good, big-game experience in a hostile atmosphere similar to what we'll face in the NCAA tournament. We got better last week. That's the biggest advantage.

It was scary at the moment, but our guys understand that we are capable of anything with any of our players on the court. It gave other guys a chance to step up into big roles. It was an opportunity for other guys to get good experience.

I really think we've faced some of the nation's most elite pitchers this season. Anytime there's a challenge, there's an opportunity to do something good. You have to give full effort and good things usually happen.

We've been tough the whole season. Like I told them after the game, it's over, there's no sense we dwell on it. We've got to come back and play tough in the tournament. We have a lot of good arms so I feel good about our chances in the tournament.

Civic Memorial is a good team. And if we can get past that one, then Taylorville and Alton are no slouches, either. Like I said, we're going to have our hands full. All of those teams are capable of beating anybody on any night.
