This is as big as the town can handle. They did a survey and we had to wait until they put in a couple more hotels before we could add the seventh division.

When you talk about basketball in northwest Ohio, in Putnam County . . . I imagine it?s a lot like Indiana high-school basketball. I don?t know if you could find many counties in Ohio that have had six teams make it to the state finals in any sport.

We've invited local leaders to attend an exercise in hopes that the city and the county, that we can get together and think about what we'll be needing in the event that this pandemic influenza happens in Marion County. Our Ohio based drivers have always been huge supporters of the series and this event will give those teams a little hometown incentive. We expect to put on a great show for the great fans in the area, plus with Sandusky, Ohio not that far away, we'll continue with our tradition of having a fun day for the ASALMS at Cedar Point the day after the race!
