en Obviously, we didn't play very well today. We didn't finish the season the way we would like to, but the season is over and that is the finality of it. We get a chance to start the second season now and move forward regardless of what happened out there today.

en I'm sure the kids wanted the sole championship, but it didn't happen. They played well all season, but they didn't play that well today.

en He always told the truth. If you asked him a question, he was going to give you the answer. You might not have liked the answer; a few times I didn't like the answer. But I understood his point. He took his time to tell you why he thought that way or why you should do certain things.

en He was very quiet, we would get on him a lot about yelling more and being more vocal (early in the season). Early on he really didn't want to say much. He knew the right answer, but he was scared to say it because he felt like if it was the wrong answer than he'd get yelled at, but he did a good job. He started getting more vocal towards the end, and this year he's started off being a field leader.

en The big deal was, they did anything they wanted to in the second half offensively, and we didn't have an answer for it.

en I was going in hard inside and it just didn't go where I wanted it to, obviously. I wanted to get the groundball double play but it didn't turn out that way. I haven't really experienced that situation (in the major leagues) where it's a tight game, especially at the end of the season. I'd like to apply that to my next game. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene.
