Check your side mirrors, and check your blind spot over your shoulders for bikes. That's a habit drivers ought to have for their own safety, but for cyclists and pedestrians, it can save a life.

This track is a challenge, that's best thing I can say about it, and drivers like challenges. I think I speak for all the drivers (in the IRL) when I say we can't wait to come out here. It's a great racetrack and the fans have also been great.

This is a reminder for pedestrians that they need to take an active role in protecting themselves. Some behave as if their status as a pedestrian envelops them in a magic force field that will protect them from an oncoming vehicle. Just because drivers are supposed to stop or swerve or yield doesn't guarantee they will.

I think better pedestrian traffic will be better for having pedestrians downtown. And, the long range plan calls for that. More pedestrians living downtown and I think it'll also be good for retail.

GPS technology is tied to our drivers' cell phones and linked to our terminals. Customers can access shipment status reports every 15 minutes. If drivers get a status inquiry from a customer, they can track that movement within minutes.

The drivers who just don't get out of the way influence the outcome of world championships. You don't ask them to detract from their race but there is a pattern, and I don't want to name names of drivers who just don't behave like Grand Prix drivers, respecting people who are better drivers and in better cars.

If there were a track on the circuit where I wished we raced more it would be New Hampshire. The fact that I have always liked the track as a competitor does not hurt either. I always felt I had a slight home court advantage over the other drivers because I have run so many laps there, and I use that to my advantage.

[While most drivers in the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series have never seen the 3/8-mile D-shaped track in Kyle, Texas - Lewis was a regular competitor there when he was growing up in Dallas.] I'm definitely excited to get to go run down there, ... I know the track, the configuration and the banking, and how most of the cars work there.

Lawmakers heard feedback from motorists that the full-lane requirement sometimes prevented drivers from making turns at busy signalized intersections. The 6-foot buffer is intended to give pedestrians space for a safe crossing without forcing a motorist to wait until the person crosses an entire two-lane street, for example.

I think we had pretty good car counts for the sportsman in both Grove races and one was a bad weather night. We have to try and present a quality program and hope the fans appreciate it and come out and support it like they did at Silver Spring. Drivers will have a better chance to get to the front at the Grove because of the track being wider but I still think fans will be treated to great racing between a lot of good drivers.
