It's mainly because of the three juniors we have. The kids are really looking forward to it, but we're worried about this season first.

I love the poise. I tell the kids at practice that the juniors are no longer juniors. We've played enough basketball now that they're seniors. The sophomores are juniors and right down the line. We're so youthful. We have two great seniors who play, but we play beyond our years. Whatever I ask them to do, they do it. We've grown up since the beginning of the year. If we had a bad call go against us, we'd get rattled. Now we're solid.

We had a sophomore-region tournament earlier. We took nine kids and we had seven champions and two second-place finishers. I think that although we don't have as many juniors this year, we will be just fine next season.

Last year we had a lot of kids on the varsity field for the first time. It can be intimidating. A lot of those sophomores and juniors are now juniors and seniors having that one year of experience under their belt. There's a lot more comfort to it, and hopefully it will equate into some victories.

A lot of times, when juniors become seniors, they get that character to them that develops. It?s just amazing seeing juniors develop into seniors, and he?s one of those kids.

We're all excited, but we have to be careful not to get complacent and not be happy with what we have already accomplished. We have an interesting mix because our freshman group had never lost. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. Through junior high they were 32-0. Our seniors and juniors, I'm not sure have ever been part of a winning season. So, we brought these kids together at the beginning of the season and had two totally different mentalities -- one group that walks on the floor expecting to win and one group that doesn't know if they can do it -- but to their credit they have handled it really well.

I think that was kind of our focus this week. It's a whole new deal now. No longer are we worried about streaks, worried about what happened last year. Friday night was the start of a new quest. They want to start their own tradition, their own streak if possible. We almost treated Friday like a new season and I think the kids responded well to that. When you can come off the floor after being knocked down, that's big. I think we're headed back in the right direction again.

We're not too worried about it because you don't get points for qualifying. We know we've got a strong package and I'm looking forward to defending my win here and start the season off on the right foot.

We have a lot of excitement at the school for baseball this season. We have about 30 kids out for practice and they are looking forward to the season.

Half of our kids quit at one time or another during the season. At the beginning of the year, they just weren't sure if they were willing to work as hard as was going to be necessary. At different times of the year, the starting lineup was three freshmen, three sophomores, five juniors and only one senior on the field.

Kelly is poised for her best spring season. The juniors will have a great opportunity to play this spring...I am looking for something great out of the juniors.

This has been a good experience for our kids, making it to our second NCAA tournament in three years. This should give our younger kids something to build on and look forward to as they begin the off-season.

We're worried about his skating, we're worried about his speed and he knows that. But we feel that he can give us something that the kids simply can't give us right now in that type of role. And he's been a solid citizen down there in the AHL, which goes a long way. He never complained, helped the kids and did everything he could down there to do the right thing as a pro, so he's getting another whack at it.

I have to hand it to Manchester, they played a super second half. I told the kids it's not the end of the season. We have a great season to look forward to. We just need to bounce back and play our game. I'm confident we'll do well.

We have a great group of kids. Our five seniors have done a great job these four years. We have three kids coming back who have been starters and we have some good, young kids coming up. So the future is bright and we're looking forward to the season already.
