There are a lot of tech companies in the Bay Area that are setting the pace. Apple is on a major upswing and Hewlett-Packard is doing well in printers and visual technologies, and giving Dell a run for its money in personal computers.

I think we're going to see very strong reports for both Dell and H.P.. All the evidence suggests that PC's, including servers, are selling surprisingly well.

It's legitimate to think we will see a slowdown in PCs and servers in 2005 but what the Street may be underestimating is Dell's ability to grow earnings through profit margin expansion,
