He's more of a floor leader than a scorer this season, doing the things a good point guard should be doing.

My personal opinion is that I don't want our point guard to be our biggest scorer. But if our point guard is our best scorer, we have to find a way to take advantage of that, and he is going to be involved in a very competitive position to see who plays the most minutes.

Diana was playing the [point] and that's not really her natural position. She's a scorer, a [shooting] guard and the fact that I am a point guard, will definitely help her in terms of her numbers and things she's capable of doing.

She is our heart and soul on the court. She's our point guard. She's our floor leader. She shot well early in the season and then struggled for a while. But she's stepped in up here lately. Any scoring she does is an added bonus.

I really gained what I needed with Delaney and that was a point guard, a leader on the floor. She was used to doing that as an eighth-grader, and I think it helped, not that we couldn't have used Chelsea Sager, but she was ready. Chelsea was ready to go up. She was big enough and athletic enough to move up, and I'm glad she did. Delaney got into her comfort zone and got a little more confidence, and I think that will help her for next year with the varsity point guard position being open.

She was my kind of point guard. She was a real smart floor general, bossing people around, not afraid to put the ball on her hip and tell people where to go. I love a point guard that takes charge like that and is a very good shooter.

We're moving forward with him as our point guard. We traded for him to be our point guard, to be our leader and that really hasn't changed. We really haven't reached that point yet to where trading Steve Francis.

We feel good about having a scorer and point guard back that have contributed the way they have.

One guy, Speedy Claxton. He reminds me a lot of him. You ask how does a guy 5-10 make it to the NBA? That's the kind of things Speedy did. He's the only other person I've seen do that. The point guard is not supposed to do that. A good team can block out four guys. You're not thinking about blocking out the point guard, but he loves that. That's a basketball player.

I guess I'm not a point guard. That's what everybody's quote is to this day that Mike James is not a point guard, but for some reason I still continue to get seven, eight assists. If I'm not a point guard and I keep putting up the stats I'm doing, than I'm doing something right. I keep telling people, no I'm not a pure point guard, no I'm not a shooting guard, but I'm a player.

We thought he'd fit in with us as a third point guard , as a good defender, and he'd become a good scorer over in Europe. What he's done for us recently has been a good story. He's sitting over in Spain wanting to be where he is today, and he's gotten an opportunity and is taking advantage of it.

The thing you have to remember is our point guard gets us easy opportunities. A good point guard gets you into the right spots. We didn't have it tonight. A lot of the things we were creating were one-on-one. Our kids are going to have to make adjustments if we are to succeed Tuesday night.
